10 Years

10 Years – Ten Needs in the Neighborhoods

We are proud to announce that in 2007 Arciform is celebrating our 10 year anniversary. To give back to the clients and the community that has been so good to us, we have created the "10 Years – Ten Needs in the Neighborhoods" project. Our objective is to contribute towards ten different Portland neighborhood's projects to represent each year we have been in business. We are working on finding out what community-related causes/needs/wishes are close to Portlanders hearts that we can contribute to. It could be monetary (there is a limit for each so that we may spread it around...) or an assistance of time, or anything else for that matter. We will explore each idea and determine how we might best fit and do our best to fulfill each one and let you know very soon here on this site which ones have been chosen – so be sure to check back!

On behalf of the entire Arciform Team, we thank all of you for being a part of our past, present and future!

Yours in Service,
Richard and Anne DeWolf, Owners

Anne and Gina

Anne & Gina, two brave and adventurous designers at Arciform LLC, take their "Dino-fueled" racer for a weekend cruise down Mt. Tabor - 2006

Arciform's commitment to extreme Eco-Conscious transportation choices featured on the www.autobloggreen.com website!

Portland's adult soapbox derby - "Alternative Transportation" is officially defined -

We have a section entitled "Alternative Transportation". Therefore, since you cannot possibly get much more alternative than this, and it is in fact a method of transportation, I have decided that this story qualifies for our site. That, and it is so awesome that it just had to be shown. There are a total of 489 pictures for your viewing pleasure on their official site just for 2006, but I have selected a few prime examples that just have to be seen. Some of these gravity racers are amazing for their mechanicals, some are amazing for their thoughtful design, and some are amazing that the entrants did not perish while riding them. See for yourself. Check out our gallery of some favorites.

From the site: "Once a year a brave group of racers convene on the daunting slopes of Mt. Tabor to test their metal and their mettle. These pages are dedicated to all those who have spilled their blood, or even worse, spilled their Blue Ribbon."

AutoblogGreenI can't put it much better than that, so I better not try.

Soap Box Racer

Richard and Eddie conquer Mt. Tabor in their Arciform Racer - 2004

As it appeared in the Portland Mercury: "During this gauntlet race, a bad crash sent two of us to the emergency room. I [Richard] had a dislocated shoulder and Eddy broke a bone in his hand..." "...The best part is that I had a video camera in the car that documented the entire thing – including the roll over!"
