History: At a Glance

Richard De Wolf started Arciform LLC in January of 1997 with the goal of creating a company that respects its clients, employees, the environment, and architecture while maintaining a superior level of quality service and craftsmanship.

German-native Anne DeWolf spent a year sailing on the east coast of the United States when she met another sailboat dweller, Richard DeWolf in Charleston, SC. One day, Richard told her that he was planning a cross-country trip, leaving at 6:00 a.m. the next day. Despite the short notice, Anne decided to go along.

Their travels eventually took them to Oregon, where they fell in love with the area and each other. Richard, who earned his architecture degree from Clemson University, started Arciform LLC in 1997: a design/build company specializing in the restoration/remodel of architecture from the first half of the last century.

Anne studied interior design at Marylhurst University and became a partner of Arciform in 1998.

Anne & Richard operated Arciform out of their 1908 duplex in North Portland's historic Overlook District for over 5 years.

In 2001 Arciform moved operations into the award winning building the company built on North Interstate Avenue.

In 2006 the couple purchased a 40,000 square foot office building and warehouse which are now the headquarters of Arciform.
